While April's Saturdays are taken up with her new freelance gig, Sylvie and her dad are exploring new ways to keep out of her hair. The latest became Sylvie's first trip to MoMA (Museum of Modern Art). There's a new kids program on Saturday mornings which, very typical for NYC, was soldout long before it even began. But they have a workshop area that is free and pretty much open. Some very cool activities including a rubberband/peg wall, magnets, blocks, etch-a-sketches and all kinds of drawing tools. John and Riley joined us for a good time.
Another great aspect of this area is that's it's conveniently connected directly to the second floor of MoMA-proper, which you can wander into, by complete accident of course, without paying. Luckily for Sylvie, her mother's moral compass points a little straighter than her fathers.
Here are a few pics from the day. Definitely recommend it. The sculpture garden is a great place to get some of the energy out. Just DON'T WALK ON THE IVY!
