Lunchtime Snooze

With the beautiful weather this week, came a lot of outdoor play and one sleepy little girl. After a busy day on the playground, Sylvie was enjoying some leftover pasta and eggplant while listening to a little Amy Winehouse. The next thing I know, she lays her head down on her plate and falls asleep! Pasta hangover?

Sylvie is developing such a sweet friendship with her sidekick Zoe that I wanted to post some images of them together. Lucky for us, we just happen to like her parents too!

Come here horsey, horsey!

Sylvie has fallen in love with the horses in Prospect Park. Bryan has been taking her every Saturday morning to watch people taking riding lessons. She gets so excited just before they arrive and cries out 'horsey, horsey'! Often she just stares in silence (a very rare occurrence) and watches in amazement. Then she gallops around and clicks her tongue making the sound of their hooves in motion. Check out this smile. I guess you can see how much she truly loves them! Maybe as much as she loves Miles?

Well, it's been some time since our last post. After my laptop died and I thought I had lost everything (which thankfully was NOT the case), I was ready to throw in the blog towel. But, here we are again with some much needed updating!

Sylvie continues to amaze us and make us laugh. She has such a great sense of humor and is really quite silly. She's recently learned to say her whole name -- Sylvie, Parker (with a Bostonian accent) Jenkins. While we were in Western NY over the holidays, she even gave us great attitude along with saying her name after endless prodding by her proud parents. Enough already, I am not your monkey. Still, Sylvie seemed to enjoy the madness of the holidays and being around so many new people. One thing is for sure, she is much better at remembering people's names than I am!
